Green Lodging
LA INC. The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau is working with Green Seal to develop a Green Lodging Program for Los Angeles.
On November 16, 2011, “Green Your Bottom Line” seminar was held at Westin Bonaventure Hotel for Los Angeles area hotels. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa addressed the participating hotels and quoted as follows:
“Hotels are saving money,” Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said, “It is good public relations. People want to come to your hotel, and meeting planners want to know that you are participating in a green certification program. It is helpful for tourism, and better for your bottom line.”
On August 28, 2009, a press event was held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, to announce that they were the first to be certified through the Los Angeles Green Lodging Program. Click here to read the press release
